Hey Fritz the Cat fans all over the world. Finally MGM seems to have noticed how many of us are still out there since they just released both of Fritz' movies on DVD on December 11th 2001. It really was about time the old VHS copies in my shelf got replaced since the quality didn't get better within the last couple of years. Besides it's also cool as hell to finally own Fritz the Cat in the original widescreen version. ;) Both DVDs are available at Amazon.com for less than $20 each. You're just a click away from purchasing a copy for your collection: Well, of ourse we're definitely still not interested in reading a boring story of somebody's sorry ass pet just because they named it after our beloved cartoon character! Let me tell you a bit more about the (originally X-rated) movie: Well, it's about Fritz the Cat (of course) when he's on his trip through the 60's looking for love in all the wrong places. It's an outrageous and extremely funny cartoon containing plenty of Sex, Drugs and - sorry, no Rock'n Roll - but violence. Don't you worry ... not too violent though. Some of the scenes are so damn funny they'll have you rolling on the floor. Fritz does get into some unusual adventures for a cat in the realms of group sex, college radicalism, etc. - problems endemic to the American way of life in the 1960s.
